Creative Writing Workshop & Open Mic Night: Solidarity Sessions

  • The Jago Dalston 440 Kingsland Road London, England, E8 4AA United Kingdom (map)

Join Bosla Arts for a day of creative resistance and solidarity on Sunday 9 March at The Jago in London.

Programme:

I'm (not) Fine: Creative Writing Workshop led by Fedzilla

A creative writing workshop for beginners. Writing as self care and a creative act of resistance.

In this writing session, open to all, rapper and poet Fedzilla walks you through prompts, ideas and personal experience in putting despair, anxiety and hope on paper. Via short stories, poetry, spoken word and more, you’ll be exploring the innate value of your stories and thoughts. We’ll dive into metaphors, opening lines, tone, repetition, rhyme and all the tools you may need to get comfortable on paper. However that may look for you.

We encourage everyone to join, participate and give it a try. There is no expectation to finish nor share with the group, however a chance will be given to share it at the open mic later in the day if you’re feeling inspired. Come find a space where you are supported and encouraged, we’d love to have you there.

Open Mic Night: Solidarity Sessions

A space to come together in solidarity with others.

Bosla Arts' Open Mic Night is back! We want to hear a song, poem, spoken word, stand-up comedy, or anything else you feel like sharing on the theme of solidarity (however you might interpret it). And if you wish to listen that’s fine too.

See you there!
